Who we are
We are a non-profit organisation based at the Ghallah Mandi in Sadiqabad. Our name, Ijtamai Taraqiati Council, means “Social Development Council”, and it describes our approach: progress that communities build together.
Southern Punjab feeds much of Pakistan, yet poverty here remains deep. We work to make sure the families who live and labour in this region share in its prosperity.
Our mission
To reduce poverty and promote social development in Sadiqabad and District Rahim Yar Khan, by supporting families in need and working with communities to build a fairer, more secure future.
Our vision
Self-reliant communities in southern Punjab, where every family can meet its needs and every child can learn.
How we work
Communities decide
The people we serve know their needs best. We listen first and plan with them, not for them.
Help by need
Support goes to those who need it most, regardless of family, caste, belief or connections.
Clear accounts
We record what we receive and how it is spent, and we answer every donor’s questions honestly.
Respect always
Every family is treated with dignity. Their privacy is protected and their hardship is never used for publicity.
Council details
We publish our official details so that anyone can verify who we are. Registration documents are available on request.
